AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES FOR EDUCATION ABOUT AND PREVENTION OF TEEN PREGNANCY IN VALENCIA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to contract for provision of outreach activities for education about and prevention of teen pregnancy in coordination with existing youth services programs in Valencia county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
