AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR A STATEWIDE PROJECT TO PROTECT CHILDREN AGAINST METHAMPHETAMINE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the attorney general for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for a statewide project that protects children against methamphetamine by raising awareness about the negative consequences and risks associated with the use of methamphetamine. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
