AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE DRUG TREATMENT AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO OFFENDER PARTICIPANTS IN THE SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT DRUG COURT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the corrections department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to contract for the provision of drug treatment and mental health services to offenders under the jurisdiction of the second judicial district drug court. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
