AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE AEROSPACE ENGINEERING PROGRAM AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 and subsequent fiscal years to hire faculty and implement undergraduate- and graduate-level degree programs in aerospace engineering. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
