AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO WESTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY FOR AN INTERNET-BASED CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of western New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to maintain and expand an internet-based criminal justice program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
