AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR THE NEW MEXICO FARMERS' MARKET NUTRITION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the New Mexico department of agriculture to support the farmers' market nutrition enhancement program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
