AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO SUPPORT COOPERATIVE WEED MANAGEMENT AREAS IN CONTROL OF NOXIOUS WEEDS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support the New Mexico department of agriculture's coordination of cooperative weed management areas' efforts to control noxious weeds. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
