AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY TO ESTABLISH AND OPERATE A CONSORTIUM FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred sixty-five thousand dollars ($165,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to establish and operate professional development schools associated with the university's college of education and technology. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
