AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH-LED PEER-TO-PEER SUICIDE PREVENTION PROGRAM.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to implement in McKinley and San Juan counties a Native American youth-led peer-to-peer suicide prevention program. This appropriation is contingent upon the receipt of matching funds in at least an equal amount from a nonstate source. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
