Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 61 adds the Secretary of the Public Education Department (PED) and the Secretary
of the Office of Indian Affairs (OIA) to the Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB)
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
This bill has no fiscal impact on the general fund
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
The NMSC believes it is important to have input from the PED and the OIA. Reciprocal infor-
mation will benefit the SOMB teachers and native peoples.
Currently the pueblo law enforcement agencies are using the NMSC Consolidated Offender
Query program.
