    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 1095

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, line 5, after "district's" insert "or charter school's".

    2. On page 2, line 9, after "that" insert "amounts of".

    3. On page 2, line 10, after "be" strike the remainder of the line, strike all of lines 11 through 13, strike line 14 through "districts" and insert in lieu thereof:

"determined annually by the board. The determination shall be based on the most recent official special education student population data provided by the department and shall consider the relative numbers of those special education students whom the district or charter school member of the authority is responsible to educate. The board, in its discretion, may provide for annual reimbursement limits ranging from a low of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for members with low special education student populations to three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for those members with high special education student populations".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
