AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STUDY OF THE FEASIBILITY OF HAVING A MUNICIPALLY OWNED GAS ASSOCIATION DELIVER WATER IN THE ESTANCIA VALLEY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to conduct a study of the feasibility of having the gas association owned jointly by Estancia, Moriarty and Willard deliver water in the Estancia valley. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
