AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO HISPANIC FARMERS AND RANCHERS OF AMERICA.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred ninety-five thousand dollars ($195,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for the New Mexico department of agriculture for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for marketing specialists, an administrative assistant, travel for marketing purposes and office expenses for the Hispanic farmers and ranchers of America, incorporated. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
