AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AFTER-SCHOOL ACADEMIES OF EXCELLENCE AT TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS IN THE ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for after-school academies of excellence at twenty-first century community learning centers in the Albuquerque public schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
