AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO WESTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY FOR THE WESTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY MUSEUM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred seventy-six thousand six hundred dollars ($476,600) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of western New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to fund adequate compensation, staffing and equipment for the western New Mexico university museum and to purchase a significant collection of prehistoric pottery. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
