AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY FOR THE OPERATION OF THE FORESTRY AND WATERSHED RESTORATION INSTITUTE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thirty-three thousand dollars ($433,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to operate the forestry and watershed restoration institute. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
