AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER AT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to fund the northeastern New Mexico regional economic development center. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
