AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR PERSONNEL COSTS AND IMPROVED EQUIPMENT AT THE INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC HEALTH.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Five hundred thousand sixty dollars ($500,060) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 as follows:

                (1) three hundred eighty-seven thousand seven hundred eighty-three dollars ($387,783) for personnel costs at the institute of public health; and

                (2) one hundred twelve thousand two hundred seventy-seven dollars ($112,277) for equipment upgrades at the institute of public health.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
