AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A SCIENCE EDUCATION ENHANCEMENT AND KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE TWELVE TEACHER OUTREACH PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to pay for a science education enhancement and kindergarten through grade twelve teacher outreach program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
