AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ENGLISH TEACHER COLLABORATION PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the English teacher collaboration program, which provides professional development for teachers of secondary and post-secondary English. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
