AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A FAMILY ADVOCACY CENTER ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to fund operating costs for a family advocacy center administered by the city of Albuquerque that serves adult and child victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and sexual abuse in the greater Albuquerque area. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
