Mr. Speaker:

    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 999

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 5, between lines 8 and 9, insert the following new subsection:

          "G. The school district shall budget and expend for capital outlay an amount of the state equalization distribution to which it is entitled equivalent to the amount of the local revenue and the federal revenue for which the state does not take credit.".

     2. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
