AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SCHOLARSHIPS, PROGRAMMING, A GUEST ARTIST SERIES AND OUTREACH EDUCATION IN DANCE FOR A MODERN REPERTORY DANCE COMPANY THAT INCLUDES PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for a nonprofit modern repertory dance company that has been in operation for a minimum of ten years in New Mexico and that includes persons with disabilities for scholarships, programming, a guest artist series and outreach education in dance. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
