AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A SHARED GRANT-WRITER POSITION FOR THE LAS VEGAS AREA.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for a grant-writer position, to be housed at Luna community college, shared by the west Las Vegas school district, Robertson high school, New Mexico highlands university, the city of Las Vegas and San Miguel county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
