    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 892

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, line 16, strike "tribal" and after "member" insert "of a federally recognized tribe, community or group pursuant to 25 U.S.C. Section 1903 (1)".

     2. On page 3, line 18, after "department" insert "and work to expand appropriate Indian education for tribal and urban Indian students in preschool through grade twenty.".

     3. On page 5, line 4, after "districts" insert ", public post-secondary schools".

     4. On page 7, line 16, strike "seventeen" and insert in lieu thereof "sixteen".

     5. On page 7, line 25, strike "four" and insert in lieu thereof "three".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
