AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A PROGRAM TO PROMOTE ACEQUIA-GROWN PRODUCTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for the New Mexico department of agriculture for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for promotion of acequia-grown products. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
