AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ENCOURAGE PARENT PARTICIPATION AT ATHLETIC EVENTS IN LAS VEGAS, NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to encourage parent participation at athletic events for west Las Vegas and Las Vegas schools through a program that will pay for parent admission to such events. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
