AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN OUTREACH FAMILY SERVICES CENTER AND STUDENT TRAINING CLINIC AT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 and subsequent fiscal years to fund an outreach family services center and student training clinic for clinical social workers through the university's school of social work that works with families in Bernalillo county impacted by substance abuse. The appropriation shall be used to fund additional staff for the center, clinical supervision of social work students and training for social work professionals that provide counseling, treatment and education services to clients. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
