AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A DISTANCE LEARNING SYSTEM FOR THE EIGHT NORTHERN PUEBLOS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred thirty thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($830,250) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of northern New Mexico state school for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to assist the eight northern New Mexico Indian pueblos to improve technology and access to online courses and increase distance education services to the pueblos and non-Indian neighboring communities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
