AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY THE EFFECTIVENESS OF NON-INVASIVE ALCOHOL DETECTION DEVICES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to study the effectiveness and feasibility of non-invasive alcohol detection devices capable of alcohol testing and identity verification for use by the corrections department, department of public safety, department of health, department of transportation, public regulation commission and other agencies. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
