AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HABITAT RESTORATION ON THE RIO GRANDE IN SOCORRO COUNTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred sixty-six thousand dollars ($266,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the Socorro soil and water conservation district to plan, design, implement and construct habitat restoration on the Rio Grande in Socorro county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
