AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BUREAU OF ELECTIONS FOR ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-four thousand dollars ($74,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the bureau of elections in the office of the secretary of state for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to fund two additional full-time employees to serve as Native American voting coordinators. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
