AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A PILOT TRAINING CENTER FOR MEDICAL-HEALTH INTERPRETERS AT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred eighty-five thousand one hundred eighty dollars ($185,180) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to establish a pilot training center for medical-health interpreters. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
