AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP NEW MEXICO'S FARMERS' MARKETS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the New Mexico department of agriculture program to promote and develop New Mexico's farmers' markets for economic development. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
