AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A SAN JUAN COUNTY SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT PROGRAM.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in 2007 to fund a substance abuse treatment program in San Juan county that provides detoxification and drug and alcohol services to adults who suffer from drug abuse or alcoholism. The purpose of the program shall also be to serve those adults who may be ordered by a court to receive substance abuse treatment services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
