AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND A STATEWIDE TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million six hundred thousand dollars ($2,600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department's teen parent services program for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to fund a statewide teen pregnancy prevention program modeled on a program that has reduced the incidence of teen pregnancy by fifty percent. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
