AN ACT

RELATING TO INDIAN GAMING; PROVIDING FOR FIVE PERCENT OF THE REVENUE SHARING FROM INDIAN GAMING TO BE APPROPRIATED FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE TOURISM DEPARTMENT FOR MARKETING NEW MEXICO; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. INDIAN GAMING REVENUE SHARING--TOURISM MARKETING.--An amount equal to five percent of the revenue from the state's Indian gaming revenue sharing is appropriated annually from the general fund to the tourism department for marketing tourism in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall revert to the general fund.

     Section 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the provisions of this act is July 1, 2006.
