AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT FOR TEEN AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to develop and promote teen after-school program models using private-public partnerships for use in local school districts that encourage students to stay on campus for academic, intermural or other recreational projects. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
