AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF STATE POLICE OFFICERS AND ADDRESS ADDITIONAL SUPPORT STAFF REQUIREMENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifteen million seven hundred seventy-seven thousand one hundred sixty-eight dollars ($15,777,168) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to increase the number of state police officers and address additional support staff needs associated with the expansion. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
