AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR DUAL DIAGNOSIS WOMEN RELEASED FROM JAIL OR A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to contract for permanent supportive housing for women being released from jail or a correctional facility who have a dual diagnosis, co-occurring disorder of substance abuse addiction and a diagnosed mental health illness. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
