AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY FOR ADDITIONAL EMPLOYEES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Two hundred seventy-two thousand five hundred eighty-three dollars ($272,583) is appropriated from the general fund to the third judicial district attorney for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 in the following amounts for the following purposes:

                (1)  one hundred one thousand four hundred twenty-nine dollars ($101,429) for salary and benefits for a deputy district attorney;

                (2) eighty-seven thousand nine hundred six dollars ($87,906) for salary and benefits for a senior trial attorney;

                (3) thirty-three thousand eight hundred fifty-nine dollars ($33,859) for salary and benefits for an administrative secretary; and

                (4) forty-nine thousand three hundred eighty-nine dollars ($49,389) for salary and benefits for a prosecution specialist.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
