AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION GROUP AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR ASSISTING KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE TWELVE AND UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS IN THESE SUBJECTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty-seven thousand dollars ($247,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to assist kindergarten through grade twelve and university programs through the science, technology, engineering and mathematics education group. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
