AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DISTANCE LEARNING FOR DEXTER, HAGERMAN, LAKE ARTHUR AND LOVING.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to implement regional education cooperative VIII's distance learning model in the Dexter, Hagerman, Lake Arthur and Loving school districts. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
