AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND FORENSIC INVESTIGATIONS AND RELATED SERVICES ON TRIBAL LAND.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for the office of the state medical investigator for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to conduct forensic investigations and related services as requested by Indian nations, tribes or pueblos in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
