AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT FOR HIGH-SKILLS TRAINING IN ELIGIBLE COMMUNITY COLLEGES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to be distributed to eligible community colleges for noncredit high-skills training pursuant to the provisions of the Workforce Training Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
