AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND THE PROGRAMMATIC CAPACITY OF SMALLER AND RURAL MUSEUMS AND TO ADD A STATE-SPECIFIC COMPONENT TO FEDERALLY FUNDED HUMANITIES PROGRAMS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for programs to expand the programmatic capacity of and training available in smaller and rural museums and to add a state-specific component to federally funded humanities programs addressing national and worldwide issues. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
