AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO NATIVE AMERICAN VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT AND TRAINING TO THEIR SERVICE PROVIDERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to provide services to and outreach for Native American victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and training to the people who provide such services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
