AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAMS THAT INCLUDE SUICIDE AND BINGE-DRINKING PREVENTION AMONG POST-SECONDARY STUDENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred seventeen thousand dollars ($917,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the commission on higher education for expenditure in fiscal years 2006 and 2007 to initiate, enhance and supplement behavioral health programs on community college and university campuses to address post-secondary student behavioral health needs, including suicide intervention and binge-drinking prevention education and services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
