AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ENLACE PROGRAM AT SELECTED POST-SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--

          A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the following post-secondary educational institutions for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to support ENLACE programs:

                (1) four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico;

                (2) four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to the board of regents of New Mexico state university; and

                (3) four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to the commission on higher education for Santa Fe community college.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
