AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PRENATAL CARE FOR LOW-INCOME WOMEN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to pay for the maternity and infant care program at the health sciences center to provide prenatal care for low-income women. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
